Yugo is a 12-year-old Eliatrope who recently discovered his powers, and is on a mission to find his true family. He has lived with his adoptive father Alibert, working alongside him at his inn, and has no memories of his real family.
Ankama Animation created a French cartoon show based on the game Dofus. The show was animated with Adobe Flash.

The series contains 3 seasons up to date, season one containing 26 episodes, season two also containing 26, and season three having 13 episodes, with 3 special episodes.

Joe voices the characters of Alibert and Jason as well as a multitude of smaller characters including Rubilax and Anatahar.
Alibert
Alibert is a disciple of Enutrof, as
well as Yugo's adoptive father ever since Grougaloragran entrusted him the young Eliatrope. Alibert runs a restaurant of which he's chief cook. He is also Ruel Stroud's best friend as they both were adventurers before Yugo's appearance.

Jason
Jason, a trained baker and confectioner, settled in Emelka a few weeks before the severe drought that ruined the village and almost wiped it out.
Dependent on farmers' grain, his bakery was among the first trades to be hit by the disaster. Jason is very stubborn and also very attached to the village where his daughter Mia was born.
Therefore, he decided to stay in Emelka with his family, come what may. Unfortunately, the roots soon weren't enough to support his family and the desperate Jason saw no other way out than crime to save his loved ones!
season one

In the first season, we follow a young Eliatrope named Yugo who goes on a journey to find his true parents. On his way, he gains the help of new friends along his journey, and together they battle their way through many enemies and dangers, all while being pursued by Nox, a man driven to insanity who can control time and harvests the life energy of all life forms through swarms of parasitic, robotic bugs.
Like the game, the show was animated with Adobe Flash; all of the production was done in France, except for Episode 22 "Rubilax" and the special episode "Noximilien", which were both produced in Japan. The series is directed by Anthony "Tot" Roux, and the character design is handled by Xavier "Xa" Houssin and Kim "Tcho" Etinoff.
On June 21, 2010, Ankama announced that the second season of Wakfu was in production and was set to be released anytime in February 2011. In France, two new episodes of the second season were already released, and are available to watch online in French on the Wakfu Official Website.
